Ladies Night Out

Tuesday night Donna, Heather and myself drove up to Salt Lake for a Ladies Night Out at The Melting Pot. We knew we were in the right place when we read on an award hanging in the entrance of the restaurant, "Best Restaurant to Blow Your Diet." Oh my, they had the best chocolate fondue I have ever had!!! Definitely a new favorite dessert!!! I think I am going to try and find any excuse to go back and dip strawberries and other yummies into that pot of heavenly chocolate. If you haven't been there, it's a must try. FYI: If you go onto their website and sign onto their email list, you'll receive a free chocolate fondue for two with the purchase of a meal for two. Anyway, it was so nice to go out with just the girls, and for a change, not to a sporting event.

American Idol

I can't believe Syesha and Carly were in the bottom two. America got it totally wrong and I feel bad for Syesha because she did awesome the other night. Brook or Jason should have gone home. That's all I'm going to say.

Little Bee Craft Fair

Just putting in a plug for the upcoming craft fair that I have a booth in this upcoming Saturday. As you can tell it's been awhile since I've posted anything, and it's because I've become a one person sweat shop making stuff to sale.
************************************************
Anyway there was one fun little conversation that I had with Sadie this week, here it goes:
Sadie: Mom, I have this problem and it's only my problem.
Me: What is it Sadie?
Sadie: Well, you see...there are two boys at school and one girl...and I'm the one girl. Both of the boys like me and they always want to play with me because everyone wants to play with me. But I want to play with Cecily and they won't let me.
Me: Just tell them that you want to play with Cecily today.
Sadie: Ok, but it's just that everyone wants to play with me because everyone likes me.
What am I going to do?????

Chug-a-chug-a

We were so lucky to catch Cassie's first crawls on video today. All she needed was a little chug-a-chug-a from her favorite toy to get her going. I think Cassie was doing everything in her power to avoid the upcoming baby boot camp, scheduled by Grandpa Kelly, to teach her how to crawl.

***Please do not pay any attention to my annoying voice cheering Cassie on.***

FYI: Cassie also had her 9 month check up today and she weighed in @ 19.4lbs, I knew that carseat seemed pretty heavy.

Child Development 4-07-08

Sadie: 5 1/2 years, extremely playful at this age (always wanting to play with friends), magnetic personality and very very defiant!!!
While watching General Conference on Saturday, there was a close up of the organists hands playing the organ. This was very confusing to Sadie because that particular song was a duet so there were four hands yet the camera only show one person. She looked at the tv and said..."Hey that guy has four hands!!!"

Jessica: 3 1/2 years, shy at first and then extremely loud, very cuddly and also very determined to finish any project she may start.

After cleaning my bathroom ( which had not been cleaned in a very long time), Jessica walked into the bathroom paused and looked around. She then said with amazement..."Wow, this bathroom is beautiful Mommy, you did a great job!!!" Thanks Jessa for making me feel good about my dreaded chores.
Cassie: 9 months. A much better baby than before!!! The only problem I am facing with Cass at this age is her ability to move around. She's not crawling YET however she can squirm around and she is very good at scouting backwards and then sitting up. With her new abilities to move around we have found that getting Cassie to fall asleep in her crib by herself is almost impossible. The other day Cassie was awake from 12:30 pm to 10pm at night. I was going crazy because I think I tried to rock her to sleep for about 4 of those hours. I really hope this doesn't last too much longer.
