Happy Anniversary!!!

Happy Anniversary Babe!!! I can't believe that it's been 7 years today that we were sealed in the SLC temple. We've had so much fun and adventure since we've been together and I can't wait to grow old with you.
Since we've been married, are anniversary usually lands on Easter or General Conference weekend, oh and I can't forget that it is always during March Madness. So we have usually been up in Malad with family or watching conference on our anniversary. This year we caught a break and were able to spend some much needed alone time together. A big thanks to Kelly and Donna for taking all three little princesses!!! We are so grateful for your willingness to have fun with our children. We were going to travel somewhere for the weekend but decided to stay home and have fun. We went shopping for ourselves which was so fun, ate out at Los Hermanos and Ruby River, went to a movie, made it to Sadie's soccer game, went to the Golf Expo (which was actually kind of fun) and then we slept it. It was so nice to wake up when I wanted to and take a long shower. It was a good thing we stayed in town because when we woke up this morning we were shocked to see three inches of snow outside. Sorry Kurt I wish you didn't have to worry about snow removal on our anniversary! Anyway, we had so much fun together and I am so glad that I married the best husband ever.

Easter

I know this is kind of late but I left my camera at Kelly & Donna's and I just got it back. Anyway, for Easter we were able to travel up to Malad, ID and visit with Kurt's Grandmother and of course hit the city Easter Egg Hunt. As are all egg hunts it was over before you knew it. Kurt took Sadie to her age group and helped her find two of the Golden Eggs. After all of the eggs were found Sadie was still running and bouncing around looking for any stragglers, Kurt finally had to go out and stop her or else she would still be looking for eggs. I was with Jessica during her hunt and impatiently watched her pass perfectly good eggs for better eggs, (Jessica is a little bit more selective then other kids). Cassie was perfectly content sitting in the stroller and playing with Grandma Donna's camera case, next she'll have a little bit more fun.
After the hunt was over we went up to Kim & Lee's house for a great breakfast and to find out what was in the eggs. The girls got the usual money and candy, and then Sadie found a coupon good for one free chicken in one of her eggs while Jess found two plain band aids in one of her eggs. Come on, Band aids!?!

Saturday we drove back to Utah and stopped in Lehi at Kelly & Donna's to color eggs. Sunday we had fun finding the eggs and baskets that the Easter Bunny left for us, went to church and then to Aunt Linda's for lunch and another egg hunt. I made matching dresses for the girls which turned out great, I just didn't have my camera to take pictures of them, so that post will be coming shortly. Overall, Easter was great!!!

Sadie's 1st Soccer Game this Season

I am so excited smart start soccer has begun. This is Sadie's second season playing and she is so excited this year. We had a rough start last year with cold weather and being on a team with older and very aggressive boys. This year Sadie is the tallest on her team and she is more determined to kick the ball. Today she scored her very first goal, we just won't tell her that it was for the other team. It doesn't get any better than watching 8 little kids group together and follow the soccer ball all around the field. Here's a little footage of the game, Sadie is #10 with her hair in a pony tail. When she isn't running after the ball or kicking it, she is bouncing around. She's so cute.

Tagged - My favorite Things

Sorry Emily this has taken me so long to post but it's Sunday and Kurt's back from his trip so now I have time.

Whenever Oprah does her ‘Favorite Things’ show, I am always curious about the things she chooses and why. Tell me if money were not an issue and you wanted to load up a basket of your most ‘Favorite Things’ and give it to your friends, what would you choose and why? It can be something simple, like the type of pen you use or something big like the type of car you drive. I will list my ‘Things’ and then I will tag a few of you to do the same thing. Here they are in no particular order...

Because I am totally obsessed with these fun aprons, I totally think that every woman should own one to kick it up a notch in the kitchen. I called them Servn' it Hot Aprons.

If you are not big into scrapbooking but you want to somehow preserve your family pictures you need to try digital scrapbooking. It is so much easier than driving to the craft store and picking stuff out, everything is right there on the computer. I have Memory Mixer and I love it.

I love Sonic Drive-In!!! If I had enough money I would give away gift card to everyone if they promised to try their Cherry Limeade.

Last of all, if I could give away my favorites, I would have to include the luxury fleece/microfiber blanket that my sweet husband gave to me for Christmas. I couldn't find a picture of this huge soft warm bear thing, so you'll just have to imagine the best blanket ever.

Now to pass this on, I tag...Jen, Heather, and Kate.

The Circus

We got to go to the circus yesterday and we had a blast. I had never been to a circus before so it was just as much fun for me as it was for the girls. Because it was general admission we had to go early to get good seats and because we went early we got suckered into buying all the rides and fun stuff for the girls before the circus started. Sadie's highlight of the pre-circus activities was riding the elephant. I was so excited to see Sadie, Jess and Kurt get on top the cutest elephant and ride around. Sadie was the first one in and was right behind the elephants ears which tickled her little legs, and it didn't get any better than that. She later told us that it was "off the hook". Jessica's highlight pre-circus activity was riding the ponies. This was huge for our little Jess, she has always been afraid to ride any pony or horse and for her to thoroughly enjoy herself was big.

One cotton candy, and two churros later, the circus began and the clowns did their job. Sadie and Jessica couldn't get enough of the clowns and the beach ball that they were throwing around the crowd. They were laughing their heads off and as a parent I couldn't get enough of that. The dancing poodles were a hit, the acrobats were crazy (although I can't say that I enjoyed their outfits), and the sleeping elephants were great. After three hours of loud music, fun and laughter we had to call it quits. We had a blast and little Cassie was an angel, she even took a little snooze during the intermission.

Servn' it Hot

My new obsession...Aprons!!! One day I was looking on etsy at all the cool stuff people have for sale and I came across this totally cute apron that I just had to have. So instead of buying it I searched and searched and found the pattern. One week later I completed my first apron and I love it. My favorite thing about this pattern is that the apron is reversible. I already have the material for the 2nd one and I am just waiting for spare time to come around so I can make it. I would have been smiling but the post woman was driving by right as Kurt snapped the picture.

I want what Jess wants

I would have to say that pretty much everyday Sadie and Jessica ask me if they can have this or that for their next birthday. These are questions that have been going on since their last birthdays. I usually end up saying something like..."oh, that's a great idea", "we'll see", or "only if you're really good." Well yesterday Jessica asked for something I really want for her next birthday and I think I'll be pressuring Kurt for this request..."Mom, can I get a real potty downstairs for my next birthday?" We currently have an unfinished laundry/bathroom on our main floor and I personally think a toilet isn't that much to ask for.

Other requests made by Jessica..."When I grow up I want a pink car that's real, and plays music", and "For my next birthday, I want a real house that's big enough for me to sleep in." If you haven't noticed, everything she wants has to be REAL. Now if you were to ask Jessica what she wants for her birthday, you'll probably get her favorite answer..."I don't know."

This is Jessica when we were potty training her. It would have been much easier if we had done this with a toilet on the main floor. Maybe Cassie will get the luxury of a new toilet and not having to hold it while Kurt or myself run her up the stairs, crossing our fingers that the stairs will be dry the next time we go down them.
