Memorial Day Weekend

This year for Memorial Day Weekend we were able to travel up to my parents cabin in Star Valley Wyoming along with some of Kurt's family. After the four hour drive through rain and a tiny bit of snow we opened the doors of the mini van only to be welcomed by the 40 degree weather, (not exactly what we were hoping for). After we climatized ourselves to the weather we were able to get a few rounds of golf in and plenty of T & H's Rock Band. On Sunday the weather was beautiful!!! I felt bad for the guys who deep down inside wanted to go golfing but went along with the family on a drive to Jackson Hole. It was such a beautiful drive, everything was green. We stopped along the side of the road to look at the snake river, and to take a few family pictures. Then it was off to the city where we walked around the town, looked at a few shops and then watched a "western shoot-out", which Cassie didn't like too much. It was in town that we figured out that Jessica didn't feel all that well, so we didn't stay too long in Jackson. We drove to Malad on Monday to celebrate Memorial Day with family, and again the rain came down all day long. It was so nice to get away from everything and have fun. Now it's back to life.

How funny Tessa, we (my mom really) have a cabin in Star Valley that we've been going to my whole life. In fact, I was even born up there when my parents were on vacation (which is why D'Lonna calls me Darcie Star). I never knew you were a Star Valley gal too.

This is probably what we'll be doing when we go up there for the 4th of July, only we probably won't be going to Malad of course. :) The Snake River's up really high & it looks SO beautiful up there! Glad you had fun.

What gorgeous pictures! Although that antler arbor kind of gives me the heeby-jeebies. :) Glad that you had fun!

Great pictures, and glad you had at least one day of sun. Thanks for sharing your experiences and hope you can do it again and again and again. Love you guys.
